Eggy Cheese Dogs -- Sunday's Wacky Breakfast
Happy Sunday and Happy Father's Day! This morning we slept in a little and are getting ready to run errands and get them done before it gets too hot. It's bright and sunny here this morning, but it's muggy and already 81 degrees at 10:00 a.m. This morning, I decided to make breakfast with some of last night's dinner leftovers. We had grilled burgers and hot dogs (uncured grass fed beef dogs). I thought about having eggs with either a burger or hot dog on the side...and then it came to me. Obviously someone once decided to mix chili and hot dogs to make "Chili Cheese Dogs"...so why not combine scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese and hot dogs to make an "Eggy Cheese Dog"...LOL. So, guess what I had for breakfast? Yup...Eggy Cheese Dogs! ;-) I simply scrambled an egg with sharp cheddar cheese and reheated one of yesterday's hot dogs...placed it in a bun and topped it with cheesy scrambled eggs. Voila...Eggy Cheese Dogs! Check out my silly breakfast below. Enjoy!
Hi GGC,
ReplyDeleteI love your "silly" breakfasts! We often have left over hamburgers or hot dogs with eggs ... one of our favorites. :-)
I love it!
ReplyDeleteGGC,
ReplyDeleteI will slice up the hotdog or hamburger and add it to my scrambled cheesy eggs. If there are leftover onions, peppers or even chili sauce, I will top the eggs with them or make a frittata . So your breakfast isn't silly at all!
Hi CyberSis,
ReplyDeleteGlad to know I'm not the only one that eats "different" breakfasts! :-)
Thanks, Anonymous! :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Anonymous -- I feel so much better that everyone doesn't think I'm a weirdo when I make my breakfast concoctions! ;-)
