Saturday Morning's Simple Breakfast -- Low Carb & Wheat-Free
Happy Saturday Morning! It is a gorgeous day here. We woke up early to take our dog Spike to the groomer to get beautified and then got ready to do our Costco run while he was there. While hubby was getting ready, I made a quick and easy breakfast for myself -- just 2 scrambled eggs with some white cheddar chipotle pepper cheese and had that with a little toast with butter (using a leftover grain-free hot dog bun that I sliced in half and toasted lightly). It makes beautiful toast. I had that with a cup of coffee -- it was simple, good and low carb! It is cool here this morning, the bermuda grass is beginning to green up, the roses, azaleas and wisteria are blooming and the birds are singing away and building their nests. I've found a couple of nests with eggs while pruning the bushes. I snapped a couple photos below and will include a little video clip here of my: "birdie breakfast symphony", too! I am not a videographer, so please excuse my video skills...it's more the sounds I wanted you to hear. Welcome Spring...finally! Enjoy!

Your video brought a smile to my face. You have a lovely garden! :) Neha
Thanks, Neha -- it isn't all green yet -- but it's getting there! :-)
Hi GGC,
What a *beautiful* yard! We have lots of green grass now but, aside from the daffodils, not much in the way of flowers yet. It's still unseasonably cool, but we're expecting high 70's on Thursday. We've been enjoying the birdie serenades, too!
Happy Spring! :-)
Hi CyberSis!
Thank you. Our grass is usually all green by now, but we had numerous cold snaps that delayed it. Since we have Bermuda grass, it is finicky about cold weather and each cold snap slows it from coming out of dormancy.
If I would have planted my tomato plants and herbs just 2 weeks ago, I would have been sorry -- we had an unexpected freeze and people that had planted early, etc. had to scramble and cover to protect them. Here's hoping that the 2 four letter words, "cold" and "snow" are a thing of the past for you this year. Happy Spring to you, too! :-)
