Do we really have to leave tomorrow, Mom? Can't we just stay here forever??? |

Last Lunch at the Beach...
This morning we got up early and did some exploring and walking around at adjacent beaches. It is a bright, sunny and hot day here today. The rain is supposed to roll in tomorrow...as we roll out. Our beach vacation has almost come to an end. I snapped a quick photo below of my "tuna salad boats" that I made for lunch. I served them with a piece of string cheese and almonds as my "sides"...LOL. I also made a big glass of fresh lemonade...and we are ready to go hit the beach for the last time! We have been very lucky with the weather considering the awfully rainy summer we had back home. Tonight will be pizza night to celebrate it being Friday...and our last day here. It truly is a wonderful life...Enjoy!
Hi GG, Spike is so adorable,
ReplyDeletelooks so well groomed! We had 3 dogs, of which 2 were poodles. I do not want to elaborate more, just want to say :" beware of large dogs!" Now we decided not to have another dog, our hearts were broken! Too much pain!
Have a very safe trip home, it must be hard to leave!
Enjoy your recipes every day! I am passing them on. Thank you Gigi!
Awwww cute pic of the puppy! Food looks great; love the pasta one for sure! Glad you had a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Barbara! Oh no...this doesn't sound like a good story at all!!! I can't even imagine. I consider Spike to be my "therapy" dog for a couple of reasons -- the first being as a young child I was bitten badly by a neighborhood dog that had gone mad -- it had to be put down because I was the 3rd person it had bitten in a couple of days (I had to go to the ER, the police came, etc.). So Spike has helped get me over my lifelong fear of dogs of ANY kind! Secondly, I got Spike after my youngest left for college and I was lost not having anyone to mother and pamper. Spike is like my 4th child and I love him with all my heart. As hard as it is to leave...I am ready to go home and feel like I got the R&R so badly needed. So glad you are enjoying the recipes and passing them on! Hope you are doing well! :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Patricia! Thanks...Spike is my little buddy! Thank you -- we have had a great week and an entire week of sunshine which has been great. Have a great weekend! :-)
