Friday's Salad Fiesta

It turned out to be a surprisingly sunny day, but rain is in our forecast for the next 5 days.  We are helping my son move into his new place tomorrow, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the rain will hold off tomorrow until we get him moved in.  I am so excited for him -- he has a kitchen to die for, so I can't wait to get my hands on it and get it all set up for him!  This evening I was a little tired and didn't feel like doing a lot in the kitchen and I'm saving my energy for helping him get situated tomorrow, so I made us big main dish salads with chunks of chicken breast on top for our dinner.  I snapped a few photos below for you to see.  Enjoy!

Check out the gorgeous view from his new kitchen!
Here is his kitchen...I can't wait to get it set up!   :-)

Hi GGC,

WOW! No wonder you can't wait ... that's SOME kitchen! Does he take after his mom? With a kitchen like that maybe he'll at least aspire to. :-)

Hi CyberSis! LOL...lets just say he isn't much of a cook...yet. I'm hoping he will be motivated to branch out past frozen dinners and take advantage of using his kitchen now! He loves to eat well...he just hasn't experimented a lot with cooking -- but he is getting better! :-)

Have fun :)

Thanks, Roye -- going to be heading out soon. You have to reserve elevator time to move furniture there and his time slot is 2-5:00 -- I've got my cameras charging now! ;-)

Yes, W-O-W !! If that doesn't give him incentive to cook, nothing will! I would love to see that view at sunset/nighttime. Happy moving!

wow!!! where IS this place??!! meanwhile, i'm stuggling thru a postage sized kitchen w/counters and sink piled up, just trying to make cc cookies and pizza crust. if that kitchen doesn't inspire him big time, i'd say he's hopeless in the cooking dept!!

Hi Darlene! Thanks -- I look forward to seeing it at night and sunset too -- I stayed until around 8:00 or so but it was still bright out and we had to get back home to feed our dog and let him out since he'd been home for about 9 hrs. We got everything unpacked -- not necessarily put away...but it looks good. We ran out of time for me to go shopping and stock his kitchen -- but there is always tomorrow! :-)

Hi Pat -- thank you -- his place is absolutely gorgeous. I think I could live there. Makes me want to come home and redo my kitchen! I did a lot of cleaning today and left the heavy lifting to the guys. I can't wait to be down there when it gets dark to see the view at night. :-)

Hi Barbara! Thanks -- it is a nice place for a man. His view is gorgeous and he has a corner unit so his view is amazing. I hope he will be happy there. Part of me thinks I'd like to live in the city...but then I would miss a yard to tinker in. I love city views, especially at night all lit up -- I'm excited to see what his looks like at night. :-)

Hi Samudra! It's in Atlanta. And you are right -- if this kitchen doesn't inspire him to cook...nothing will! I would like to teach him some simple basic things to get him started -- up to now, he hasn't been too interested in cooking -- I'm hoping that might change! :-)
