Today was another gorgeous day here -- we had a high of 84 and it was bright, sunny and breezy. Both hubby and I were off today, too, so we did yard work and other odds and ends projects. I took a walk during the afternoon to get that done so our evening would be free, except for dinner, some relaxation time and to watch the first episode of Extreme Weight Loss. For lunch this afternoon, I enjoyed a piece of chilled leftover salmon that I made a couple nights ago, along with a salad. So, I decided that tonight would be a great night to have my
Greek Style Spinach-Feta Pie for dinner. I used a full pound of organic baby spinach and made it with the thinner crust version. The link to the recipe is embedded above (it's a different color). I snapped a few photos for you to see below. Enjoy!

Our favorite dish, can not get enough of it.!
When I read that you are going to watch *extreme weight loss*, I decided to watch as well. Well it was not what I expected! Not much talk about *Diet* was there. Becka and Dave could have suffered less if they had been on our Diet. They went through hell! Poor kids. I think that they will gain back a lot of weight! They will have food cravings! What do you think?
Hi Barbara! You are right, there really wasn't much discussion about their diet. I agree that if they followed our plan, they wouldn't have to exercise themselves to death. I just don't understand how at 400-500 pounds it can be good on their joints or hearts to be running and doing that excessive exercise. I bet they would lose as much in 1 year simply focusing more on eliminating the wheat/grains/sugars and more moderate exercise. They probably will gain back much of it...I would love to know their eating plan. Hope you have a good day today! :-)
Whenever I see ads for these kind of shows I find myself talking to the TV and saying "Give Up The Wheat - You will be amazed and your life will be changed forever!"
My husband and I have been wheat free for a year and will NEVER go back!!

Me, too, Pat! They take such dangerous chances pushing these poor people to complete physical exhaustion and injury...rather than make their dietary focus and eliminating wheat/grains/sugars to be the primary focus for lifelong, realistic maintenance of weight loss. There is no way these people will be able to dedicate 4+ hours per day to exercise that way for the rest of their lives once they go back home and to work, etc. Once they return home and continue eating their "healthy whole grains"...well, we know what happens. I really would like to see a "Wheat Belly Weight Loss Reality Show"...can you imagine how different and more serene it would be? Even thin and fit people don't exercise the way they make these severely overweight and out of shape people exercise. I always fear that one day something tragic will happen to one of them forcing themselves that way. I am done with wheat...for good! :-)
